Why Summer Is Far From My Favourite Season | Lifestyle

By now I presume you all know that I'm from Australia. Now I like Australia. Most of us are pretty laid back and you don't get judged for replying to everything with the phrase 'She'll be right.'. But one thing I hate about Australia, in summer particular, is the heat!

Oh god, the heat! Everything is hot and sweaty. Most people wonder if it will ever be winter again or if we will get stuck in this insane heat.

If you are from Australia, you know what I mean. The heat seems to be never ending. Hot air spins from the fan and walking on the pavement on a sunny day is like walking on fire. Trust me, summer is the worst.

Just so everyone knows, summer and school don't mix. My school in particular that has NO air-conditioning. Of course there are A LOT of fans scattered around but nothing beats the nice cold air from an air-con. But I'm not complaining, my friend goes to a school where they don't have either. I'm happy with our fans. This year I was lucky enough to get a class in one of the few rooms that have air-conditioning.

But the main reason I hate summer in Australia, you ask? Because I'm a hoarder of winter clothing! I own like ten pairs of boots and don't get me started on my coats! I love winter clothing and own more of it then summer which is stupid since you know, the whole living in Australia thing.

I just wish it was winter already... Until then I'm just going to have to sit in the heat (or air-con) and dream of my winter clothing.
