Valentines Day Blues? Nah | Lifestyle

Hello Lovelies.

So as you are probably all aware Valentines day is getting pretty close (like three days away) .
So since the first of February rolled through most started to set their eyes on the next holiday to come, which happens to be Valentines day.

Valentines day: either ya' love it or hate it. I'm in-between. I like the thought of Valentines day I just don't like the desperation that hangs in the air. Like seriously, at my high school you can buy lollypop hearts (which are so yummy!) and send them to your valentine. Cute gesture, I agree, but the amount of girls who almost cry at the site of the delivery person walking out of the room without handing them a lollypop.

There, of course, are the girls who receive like five Valentines while others don't receive any. It's a sad reality. I usually spend the day reassuring my friends (sometimes randoms) in the girls bathroom that any guy would be lucky to have them. But still I see how sad they are.

Valentines day has never really fazed me. If I get a Valentines I'm happy and grateful, if I don't get one I don't care. Yes, there is a small stomach flip as the person who hands out the Valentines gifts walks in, but once they leave and my heart rate slows down I go back to normal and life goes on.

I don't know why I wrote this post... I just think that everyone should feel confident and happy on Valentines day. If you don't get a Valentine, don't worry! It doesn't matter! If you get a Valentine, good on ya'! But either way it doesn't matter. Don't define your worth over a single candy lollypop.

It's only one day out of 365.
