In the Shadow of Blackbirds by Cat Winters | Book Review

Hello lovelies!
So lately I have been really enjoying historical fiction set in the 1920's. So when I heard about this book by Cat Winters I was intrigued (even though the novel is set in 1918). I was a bit skeptical about purchasing the book so I held it off until I saw it at my local book store which always seems to be lacking and good or new books. I took it as a sign and purchased it.

I'm lucky I did because this book is one of the best I have ever read. The character growth and descriptions are wonderfully constructed and make you feel like you have a close bond to each character.

The characters are true and raw which works perfectly with the story line. The book has a supernatural realm to it, with the main character having a close run with death and the ghost presence hanging over the book.

I won't spoil anything, but this book is amazing! I recommend anyone and everyone. Even if you aren't a fan of historical fiction it is still an amazing book with awesome characters and a solid plot.

In other news I got a Goodreads account for everyone wanting to know what I'm currently reading, my favorite books, my TBR and what I want to read! (Click here for my account)
