Blogging Tips - Photography | Collaboration with Dasiy Jayde

So photography. Now I'm not the best at taking photos, but I can hold a camera steady and not get that bad of shots so today in the collaboration with blog Daisy Jayde I'm going to share my blogging photograph tips!

1. Natural Lighting
You have probably heard this from every blogger under the sun (ahh get it?) but natural lighting is a big key in making your photos look 10x better! It is better to take photos throughout the day rather than in the late afternoon or night.

2. Focused Camera
Focusing your camera or Iphone (in my case) makes the images look much better. It doesn't take long or a lot of effort to focus your camera but once you do the images will speak for themselves.

3. Background
Make sure you don't have an 'overcrowded' background. This can take away from the image. If you are doing a photo of a product such as a mascara choose a quite bare background. It makes the thing you are wanting your readers to focus on stand out.

4. Editing
These days there are HEAPS of photo editing apps out there. Personally the basic Iphone editing does me well for brightening a photo but there are some great apps such as VSCO which have awesome filters.

5. Haven't Got Time?
Okay so if you haven't got time to take a certain photo I would suggest googling some pictures of what you want. Once you find the picture contact the artist to ask if you can use their picture. If you cant find the artist (in many cases, especially on Tumblr) I, personally, just leave the title 'source' under the picture with a direct link to where I got the photo from. I do this quite often if I don't have the right equipment or set up for the photo. Make sure you always source where you got the picture from.

(Side note: I always try to take my own photos. I only use other sources of photos if I need a  TV show or a gif throughout my actual blog post. I usually only use another source for my 'main' picture. Sorry this may be a bit 'controversial'... Sorry if I have offended anyone..)

This is an example of how I show I have used another source. By clicking the little hyperlink of 'source' it will send you to where I found the picture.

Here is an example of the photos I take. I don't put any source information around the picture.
