Books I Wish I Had Read Earlier | Books

Sometimes you finish a book and sit back. Your mind plays over every dramatic scene and every smart ass comment ass comment a character makes. But then you think to yourself, "Why didn't I read this book earlier?"

We have all had a book that makes us question why we haven't read it earlier after our friend recommended it. So this is my list of books I wish I had read earlier, and maybe you read this list and wish you had read one of these earlier.

• We Were Liars by E. Lockhart

Now I hate when I ask someone what a book is about and they reply with, "I'm not telling. It is better to go into the book without knowing anything about it." But with this book it is 100% true.
Don't Google those spoilers!
I read this book months, MONTHS, after I bought and I seriously regret it because it is one of the best books I have read all year.

• The Selection by Kiera Cass

My friend recommended this book to me and at first I was skeptical. I had just finished reading Divergent and didn't feel like any more dystopian reads, but she insisted. I purchased the book and left it on my shelf till I got over my Allegiant feels. But once picking it up I instantly fell in love. I finished the book in about a day and then bought the rest of the series. I sincerely regretted not picking it up earlier.

• Splintered by A.G Howard

A teacher recommended this book to me at school and the whole idea of a retold 'fairy tale' put me off the whole idea. Alice in Wonderland retold? Ah no. But then I purchased it when I saw it at my local bookstore. I took it as a sign to read it as my local bookstore never has any new or good books. So I read it and instantly fell in love. This author captured a new part of Wonderland I never knew could exist. This novel made me see Alice in Wonderland in a whole new light.

There are many more books that I could have put on this list but I chose the most, uh 'out there' books for you all. I hope you decide to pick up at least one of these books, you know, if you want.
