Sunbeamjess, also known as Jess, is a youtuber from the UK with an awesome eye for style. This month (and every other month) she has caught my eye with her fashion. Her wardrobe seems to be a mixture of styles with little vintage pieces popping up here and there. I love how adventurous she is with her style. However as I live in Australia the closest I can get to a white Christmas is reading about them in novels. I'm cool with that though.

Shut Out by Kody Keplinger | Book Review

After reading the DUFF and absolutely falling in love with it I was excited to pick up Shut Out by the same author, Kody Keplinger. Shut Out is about a school were the soccer team and the football team have a strong rivalry. Lissa (the protagonist) becomes sick of her boyfriend always blowing her off to go and pick on the soccer team so she calls a meeting for her and the other girlfriends from both of the teams. They decide to call a sex strike in order to make peace between the two feuding sides.

I think we should all celebrate the fact that I have finally gotten over my reading slump! After almost two (maybe three) months of pure agony and mind numbing television shows it is great to be able to settle down with a book. Valentines day: either ya' love it or hate it. I'm in-between. I like the thought of Valentines day I just don't like the desperation that hangs in the air. Like seriously, at my high school you can buy lollypop hearts (which are so yummy!) and send them to your valentine. Cute gesture, I agree, but the amount of girls who almost cry at the site of the delivery person walking out of the room without handing them a lollypop.

I was a bit skeptical about purchasing the book so I held it off until I saw it at my local book store which always seems to be lacking and good or new books. I took it as a sign and purchased it.

Work Experience At Girlfriend Magazine | Tips

So in September 2014 I went to Girlfriend Magazine, which is located in Sydney, for work experience. Before leaving for work experience I tried to read up as much as possible on what to expect and some tips on what to do. These provided helpful tips and resulted in me having an amazing week at a magazine. However I didn't find much to help me. So I decided to write a bit on my experience at Girlfriend Magazine and any tips or tricks I have.

Now, a little disclaimer. I was only at work experience for one week and lots of different projects were happening. The team was so lovely and welcoming and so were the other workies. I'm basing these tips on what I experienced. Some may work for you, others may not. I cant stress this enough. The overall advice is to act professional and be yourself!
